A lesser known Greek island, Paros impresses with its sun-soaked beaches and white-washed Cycladic buildings. While just a short 3 hour ferry from Athens, Paros offers a more rustic and, perhaps, authentic Greek island experience than its more famous cousins, Santorini and Mykonos.
Staying in the main town of Parikia affords travelers plenty of options for dining and shopping. Upon arrival, we took off for Kolymbithres Beach for a refreshing ocean dip. The impressive rock formations set a unique backdrop for the crystal clear turquoise water.
We recommend taking a buggy to Naoussa and spent the day at a beach club, enjoying crisp white wine and taking in the warm Mediterranean sun. A sunset is not to be missed and Paros is no exception.
